Description
We are inviting applications for the role of Sr. Accountant based in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing cash management, executing comprehensive month-end duties, managing payroll entries, and contributing to strategic financial planning.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the management of financial resources, including the monitoring of bank balances and cash requirements.
• Ensure the timely release of approved wires and electronic payments by preparing and reviewing weekly payment listings.
• Carry out comprehensive month-end duties, such as posting intercompany allocations, completing complex account reconciliations, and managing accounting entries for international entities.
• Manage payroll entries and ensure their accurate posting to the general ledger, in addition to performing related payroll reconciliations.
• Contribute to strategic financial plans and reviews, proactively identifying and resolving problems, and suggesting process improvements as needed.
• Uphold the financial standards of the accounting department by providing annual budget information, monitoring expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain financial security by strictly adhering to internal controls and recommending enhancements when necessary.

Requirements
• Applicants must possess a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant.
• Strong proficiency in month-end close procedures is required.
• Candidates should have hands-on experience with SAP software.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• A comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting is mandatory.
• Candidates must demonstrate excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment is necessary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is a prerequisite.
• Familiarity with tax laws and regulations is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is crucial.
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.
