Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Houston, Texas

Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the service industry, located in Houston, Texas. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including intercompany transactions, fixed assets management, and general ledger oversight. This role also involves cooperation with auditors and requires a strong understanding of multiple currencies.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the process of intercompany transactions involving multiple currencies.

• Manage fixed assets and ensure accurate record keeping.

• Collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Maintain a strong general ledger (GL) and ensure all entries are accurate.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks and data analysis.

• Conduct account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation tasks.

• Prepare bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.

• Contribute to the month-end close process by preparing necessary journal entries.

• Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting functions and tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

• Demonstrable experience with Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Proficiency in General Ledger and Journal Entries is required.

• Must have experience in managing Month End Close procedures.

• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is preferred.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations.

• Must have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification is preferred.

• Demonstrable professionalism and ethical conduct.

• Must have a high level of integrity and dependability.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
