Description Robert Half is currently looking for an efficient Senior Accountant with an eye for accuracy to be a part of a terrific long-term contract / temporary to full-time opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role
Arrange quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Review financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Complete other projects as required
Arrange monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners Requirements - Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
ERP system experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired
Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner
General ledger experience
Knowledge of Monthly Financial Reports
Microsoft Excel experience
Strong familiarity with Prepare Financial Reports
10+ years of overall general accounting experience
Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
A demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting preferred
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Proven ability to work and communication well with manager-level associates
