Cindy Bradley at Robert half is actively seeking a Staff Accountant for this growing MFG company located in NORTH HOUSTON. Right person needs to be detail-oriented, organized, and motivated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work cohesively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

• General Ledger Maintenance: You will have to regularly maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete.

• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Your role will include processing accounts payable invoices, issuing payments, reconciling vendor statements and handling customer invoice generation and tracking.

• Financial Reporting: You will be directly involved in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Budgeting and Forecasting: You will assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, which includes gathering and analyzing financial data and preparing budget schedules.

• Expense Management: You will be tasked with monitoring and analyzing expenses and identifying any discrepancies.

• Audit Support: Your role will also require assisting with internal and external audits.

• Compliance: You will ensure that our company remains compliant with accounting policies, procedures and legislation.

• Process Improvement: You will find opportunities for process improvements within the finance department, promoting efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Between 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or finance. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP). • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • A detail-oriented individual with high levels of accuracy. • Ability to perform both as an individual and within a team. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed. Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role

• Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Expertise in maintaining and updating General Ledger

• Able to prepare and record Journal Entries accurately

• Experienced in executing Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using SAP for accounting purposes - A MUST

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for accounting data management and reporting

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Proven attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
