Description
Our client is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and highly organized Staff Accountant with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional accounting setting. This individual will play a crucial role in our finance department, carrying responsibilities related to general ledger accountability, financial analysis, and various special projects.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring they are completed in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations.
Analyze and prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income, and cash flow statements.
Conduct thorough reviews of financial data, business transactions, and expense reports for accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Collaborate with external auditors by providing essential reports and documentation, as well as answering queries regarding financial data.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax filings and regulatory reporting requirements.
Proactively identify and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency within the finance department.
Assist in creating annual company budgets and financial forecasts.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP.
Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Demonstrate high levels of integrity and discretion, as you will be dealing with sensitive financial information.
