Description
Independent oil and natural gas company located in West Houston is seeking a highly motivated Corporate Accounting Analyst to join their dynamic team-based environment for a fast-paced, growing company! This individual will be responsible for assisting the accounting department with ongoing duties.
Responsibilities will include the following:
Prepare monthly and quarterly entries including G& A, CAPEX accruals, oil & gas DD& A, and non-oil & gas DD& A
Manage the lease accounting process including journal entries
Research and post cash receipts for revenue and JIB
Prepare monthly/quarterly SOX reports
Perform variance analysis and implement trend reports
Develop methods for data compilation and review activities
Manage vendor maintenance
Process annual 1099s to owners and vendors
Collaborate with team members and internal departments
Assist with other special projects as needed
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerBI and Enertia, highly preferred
Must have at least 3+ years of experience in accounting and a Bachelors degree is strongly preferred. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team!
