Description
We are currently seeking a diligent, organized, and resourceful Staff Accountant to join our client's team. The Staff Accountant will manage all aspects of accounting operations, from maintaining the general ledger and reconciling accounts, to preparing financial statements. A successful candidate will excel at working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoy being part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes.
Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.
Ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Assisting with tax audits and tax returns.
Supporting the payment processing team.
Documenting and monitoring internal controls in support of auditing team.
Identifying and rectifying accounting errors and discrepancies.
Participating in budgeting processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting.
Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experience with accounting software.
High proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software.
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.
Excellent data entry skills.
Great interpersonal and communication skills.
