We are in search of a Tax Manager to join our client in Houston, Texas. This role involves working in a CPA firm, supporting a range of mid-sized clients, as well as high net worth individuals, trusts, and partnerships. The Tax Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and driving the success of the firm's tax function.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the preparation and review of corporate income tax and partnership tax returns.

• Provide tax planning and consulting to high net worth individuals, trusts, and partnerships.

• Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards.

• Liaise with internal and external auditors to handle any financial irregularities that may occur.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems to ensure accessibility of financial records.

• Develop and implement strategies for new tax laws and regulations.

• Handle customer inquiries regarding tax issues and provide appropriate solutions.

• Monitor industry trends and changes related to taxes.

• Collaborate with accounting staff to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tax Manager in public sector.

• Proficient in Corporate Income Tax.

• Experienced in handling Partnership Tax Returns.

• Must have knowledge and experience in Tax - Trust & Estate.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.

• Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

• Proactive in staying updated with current tax laws and regulations.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
