We are on the search for a Valuations Analyst to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role encompasses performing independent valuations of business entities, intangible assets, and complex securities for various purposes. You will also play a critical role in performing reviews of third-party appraisals for audit support purposes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out independent valuations of business entities, intangible assets, and complex securities for financial reporting, tax compliance, management planning, and investment analysis

• Conduct reviews of third-party appraisals for audit support purposes

• Work closely with accounting and auditing teams to ensure the highest quality service is provided

• Utilize skills in acquisitions, capital management, compliance, asset valuation, business valuation, equity valuation, valuation analysis, and valuation modeling

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards

• Provide valuation services and advice to support decision-making processes

• Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of valuation reports and findings

• Keep abreast of industry trends, market activities, and competitors to maintain knowledge and expertise in the field.

Requirements

• 1 - 3+ years experience in valuation with experience in contingent consideration (earn-outs) and share-based award valuations (SARs, options), purchase price allocations, valuation of intangible assets and liabilities, preparation of valuation reports/schedules

• Ability to perform business assessments and analyses

• Strong understanding of financial reporting and tax-related valuations

• Experience in financial reporting (intangibles)

• Self-motivated with research, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage client relationships and oversee multiple, concurrent valuation engagements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Analytical financial modeling and excel skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
