Description Cindy Bradley at Robert Half is actively recruiting for this diverse/growing company! Role of VP Finance and Accounting will report to owners/COO, and CFO. We are on the lookout for candidates bearing a detail oriented background working for multi-state retail, restaurant, or hospitality organizations. Role will be over budgeting/forecasting for multiple locations and business as well as oversight of corporate Accounting. Job Responsibilities: Providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues impacting the organization. Evaluating the effectiveness of the company's financial performance, set financial objectives that align with the company’s strategy for growth. Identifying necessary system and software implementations to provide key financial and operational information. Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for the finance, accounting, and payroll departments as needed. Analyzing business initiatives, product launches, and/or new service offerings. Ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reports. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance CPA qualifications An MBA degree from a top 10 business school is preferred. Manager-level experience in accounting within the retail, restaurant, or hospitality industries. Background in Big 4 Public Accounting. 5 years minimum experience as CFO in medium-sized organizations. 15+ years of total accounting or finance experience. Knowledge and understanding of GAAP, FAASB pronouncements, and interpretations. Experience collaborating with IT staff to manage or upgrade accounting systems. Skills: Outstanding presentation and communication skills. Demonstrable leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence required. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Significant experience working with external auditors, and dealing with compliance-related issues. Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, JD Edwards, or PeopleSoft) and Payroll services (ADP, Paycom, etc.) in a multi-state environment. • 10+ years of finance and accounting experience

• Experience with multiple financial and accounting reporting systems

• Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, accounting, and finance principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
