Description
We are on the hunt for a dedicated CFO to join our team within the non-profit sector, based in the Hudson New Hampshire area. The CFO will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of financial components such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and budgeting. This role is crucial in the implementation of financial forecasting, budget services, programs, policies, and more to achieve the short and long-term objectives of the department and the Agency.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and maintain the functionality of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and financial planning components.
• Collaboratively work with senior leadership to plan and implement financial forecasting, budgets, services, programs, policies, and procedures.
• Recommend financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for approval and assume responsibility for leading and coordinating efforts to meet or exceed these KPIs.
• Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team and associated Program Managers/Directors to prepare annual budgets.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of relevant financial information to the Management Team and Board of Directors.
• Oversee the recruitment, selection, orientation, and training of department staff to maintain a high-performing team.
• Establish and maintain a good working rapport with Administration, bank officials, Auditors/CPAs, third party administrators, and insurance carriers.
• Coordinate efforts to meet or exceed financial KPIs in conjunction with the Chief of Services and relevant Program Managers/Directors.
• Ensure the delivery of timely feedback, reviews, and performance management to department staff.
• Utilize skills in accounting software systems, business systems, auditing, and budget processes to ensure effective financial management
Requirements • Possess at least 10 years of relevant experience in a CFO role or similar senior financial managerial position
• Proficient in the use of 3M and ADP - Financial Services
• Able to effectively manage and oversee accounting functions and auditing processes
• Experience with business systems and CRM platforms
• Proficient in the use of various accounting software systems
• Extensive knowledge and experience in budget processes and capital management
• Skills in cash flow analysis and non-profit accounting are essential
• Experience in managing government grants, grant accounting, and grant administration
• Familiarity with fund accounting for non-profit organizations
• Proven track record in grant management
• Must have a strong understanding of the non-profit industry and its unique financial challenges.
