Robert Half Software Development Engineer II in Hudson, Ohio

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer based in Hudson, Ohio. This role involves working on complex tasks in support of multiple projects, utilizing a range of technical environments and business areas. You will be involved in the design and development of applications, following Agile SDLC methodology, and working closely with architects to ensure alignment with long-term strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Work on complex, major, or highly visible tasks in support of multiple projects across multiple areas of expertise.

• Design and develop applications focusing on all tiers of the software architecture.

• Support application releases and development activities following Agile SDLC methodology, including Test Driven Development (TDD), and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).

• Design and extend back-end web services using JSON, .NET web services, and SQL.

• Collaborate with Product, User Experience, and Engineering teams through all stages including requirements, design, testing, and implementation.

• Utilize skills in Apache Struts, C++, Database, EO/IR systems, Hibernate ORM, AB Testing, Ajax, API Development, ASP.NET, and CSS to perform tasks efficiently and effectively.

• Ensure comfortability with a predominantly .NET based codebase and a predominantly Windows-based environment.

• Utilize knowledge of Microsoft Azure (preferred) or AWS in executing tasks. Requirements • Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role for a minimum of three years

• Proficient in C++ programming language

• Experience with Apache Struts framework

• Familiarity with databases and related operations

• Knowledge of EO/IR systems

• Experience with Hibernate ORM for handling database operations

• Proficiency in AB Testing for optimizing user experience

• Familiarity with Ajax for creating asynchronous web applications

• Proven experience in API Development for creating and managing APIs

• Knowledge of ASP.NET for web application development

• Proficiency in CSS for designing web layouts

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
