Description
Robert Half is looking for a Director of Finance to join our client! The director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills in order to be a part of the management team. This may be the role for you if you are an experienced VP/Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company. This is a HYBRID role, and candidates MUST have Government contracting/DOD/aerospace industry experience as well as Deltek experience.

Direct all financial reporting preparation
Direct risk and insurance management
Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functions
Review and maintain budgeting and forecasting models
Develop and monitor an organizational structure in order to accomplish department goals and objectives
Hire and train employees, especially finance staff, and manage retention
Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
Perform financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
Adhere to local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
Analyze monthly operating performance against budget
Work with department managers to develop five-year business plans
Prepare financial outlooks and forecasts
Supervise all operations of the finance and accounting department
Requirements
MBA or CPA is preferred
7+ years of finance and accounting experience
Efficiency in a variety of accounting and financial reporting systems
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
-Deltek
-Management experience
-Contracts experience
Prior experience with finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills
