Robert Half Safety Engineer V in Huntsville, Alabama
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Safety Engineer V in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will be conducting engineering studies, implementing safety programs, and ensuring compliance with government health and safety regulations. This role is within the industry that requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Conducting detailed engineering studies to ensure the safest systems and equipment are implemented.
• Developing and implementing company safety programs and policies for optimal personnel and facility safety.
• Ensuring the company's operations are in compliance with government health and safety regulations.
• Providing employee training on emergency response, life safety, industrial hygiene, and chemical and fire hazards.
• Conducting safety audits, accident investigations, and preparing recommendations based on findings.
• Performing regular safety observations and recommending corrective action where occupational hazards exist.
• Using your knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Liaising between different departments, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
• Utilizing your leadership skills to provide guidance to subordinates to meet goals in accordance with established policies.
• Managing budgets, schedules, and performance requirements in alignment with company policies and objectives. Requirements • Demonstrable skills in Customer Service and Management
• Proven experience with Documentation and Training procedures
• Familiarity with Operations and Policy creation and implementation
• Knowledge of Budget Processes and Supervising teams
• Ability to conduct Presentations and use About Time software
• Experience in Auditing and showcasing Leadership Skills
• Understanding of Facility management and acting as a Liaison
• Proficiency in handling Payroll Functions
• Engineering background necessary
• Adherence to Practices and ability to Answer queries effectively
• Knowledge of various Methods and dealing with Suppliers
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
• Familiarity with HIPAA-Regulated environments
• Ability to Ensure Compliance and perform Risk Management tasks
• Experience in conducting Surveys Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
