Robert Half Senior Accountant in HUNTSVILLE, Alabama

To support the company's objectives as Senior Accountant, you will prepare and consolidate financial statements, analyze and reconcile accounts, analyze cash flow, produce budgets and forecasting, prepare audits, and handle internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is based in Huntsville, Alabama with a company in the Real Estate & Property field.
What you get to do every day
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors Requirements - Proficient in ERP systems
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
Vow to meet business deadlines
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Foundational knowledge in expense management
Strong familiarity with Analyze Revenues
Financial Projections experience
Ad Hoc Reporting experience desired
Profit Loss experience required
Adeptness in Sarbanes Oxley
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
