Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Indianapolis, Indiana
Description Are you a talented Accounting Manager? You might be the candidate Robert Half is looking for to work with a successful organization that will recognize your efforts. The ideal candidate for this position can lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. You will succeed in this position if you have the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations. This Accounting Manager role is based in the Indianapolis, Indiana area and is a permanent employment opportunity that is not to be missed!
What you get to do every day
Work closely with FP& A and accounting management to create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Drive and manage the full accounting team performance of the close process to meet close deadlines
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Periodically review and inspect the balance sheets and income statement accounts of Senior Accountants
Assist in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, including system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration
Organize a variety of technical accounting analyses, procedures, and policies Requirements - Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation
3+ years of recent relevant financial experience
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Sage Intacct experience
Good understanding of cash flow management
Practical knowledge of depreciation
Previous experience working with cash flow statements
Earlier work involving supervising
Account reconciliation experience highly preferred
Adeptness in Income Statements
Microsoft Excel experience required
Background working with reconciliations
Demonstrated knowledge of Income Statements
General familiarity with fixed assets
Proficiency in month end closings
Experience with Balance Sheets
Foundational knowledge in financial statement preparation
Cash Flow Forecasts experience highly valued
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Solid technical skills
Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
