Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, 46204, United States, to join our team. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity in the industry. The chosen candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to account reconciliation, accounts payable, data entry, and use of Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Carry out account reconciliation tasks, identifying and resolving any discrepancies
• Enter data accurately into relevant databases and systems
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various tasks such as tracking payments, creating reports, and analyzing data
• Monitor customer accounts and perform appropriate actions when necessary
• Handle customer inquiries related to accounts payable
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Ensure efficient processing of customer credit applications
• Adhere to established financial policies and procedures
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth financial operations. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Data Entry
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Knowledge of general accounting principles
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
