Description
Robert Half is in search of a committed Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk for a permanent role within our team of Full-Time Engagement Professionals (also known as the loan staff team). As the Accounts Payable Clerk, your duties will involve matching, batching, and coding invoices, addressing A/P concerns, handling expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledgers to the general ledger, and overseeing check processing. This role, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, offers significant opportunities for career growth within a dynamic department.
Key Responsibilities:
Organize, record, scan, and file invoices, checks, and associated documentation efficiently.
Validate, record, and distribute checks, prioritizing special handling when needed.
Provide support during internal and external audits.
Execute daily processes and controls meticulously, ensuring adherence to company protocols.
Handle various administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department.
Undertake special projects as necessary.
Address the customer service needs of internal business partners.
Implement end-to-end A/P procedures.
Manage incoming departmental mail by sorting, opening, and distributing accordingly.

Requirements
Strong organizational skills with a sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Proficiency in working with spreadsheets and databases.
Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with individuals from technical and financial backgrounds.
Preferred experience in coding invoices.
Proven knowledge of processing vendor invoices.
Comprehensive understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) functions.
Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
Experience with coding invoices.
Command of QuickBooks.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in an A/P role is preferred.
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree (AA or BS/BA) in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.
