Robert Half Accounts Payable Staff in Indianapolis, Indiana
Description
We are in search of an Accounts Payable Staff to join our client located in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and is primarily focused on managing our accounts payable processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of tasks including processing invoices, managing vendor payments, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records.
Responsibilities
• Execute daily operations of the accounts payable function to complete payable transactions as directed.
• Coordinate the timely and accurate posting of payable invoices, and preparation of vendor payments.
• Administer Accounts Payable physical and email systems.
• Maintain accurate vendor data including accurate 1099 vendor data for year-end reporting.
• Create purchase orders invoices and ensure the matching of transactions for accuracy.
• Conduct various reconciliations and continuously review the company’s accounts payable information to identify and resolve inaccuracies.
• Act as a contact point for all payable matters and inquiries and establish & maintain relationships with new and existing vendors.
• Support audit efforts with proper documentation, reporting, and explanations.
• Assist in automating any manual accounting or analysis with accounting software as directed.
• Take ownership of the accounts payable aging report and provide requested reports and analyses in a timely manner.
Requirements
• Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) role
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct software
• Demonstrable skill in creating and interpreting Pivot Tables
• Familiarity with VLOOKUP function in Excel
• Experience in Vendor Payment processing
• Knowledge of Purchase Orders and Aging Reports
• Ability to Manage Vendor Relationships effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
