Robert Half Collections Specialist in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description We are in search of a Collections Specialist to join our team in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana. This role primarily involves managing customer accounts, handling customer inquiries, and maintaining accurate customer records. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the financial industry.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process customer credit applications.

• Keep customer credit records accurate and up-to-date.

• Resolve customer inquiries professionally and timely.

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action when needed.

• Interpret credit reports, loan applications, and other financial information relevant to collection activities.

• Adhere to regulations such as the federal bankruptcy code and FDCPA.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively within the team.

• Invest in our community by leveraging skills, knowledge, and experience.

• Foster an inclusive environment that promotes belonging.

• Maintain high levels of customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Utilize accounting software systems and CRM in performing tasks.

• Administer billing functions and claim administration.

• Handle answering inbound calls and manage accounts receivable.

• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of a dialer system. Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems for maintaining financial records and transactions.

• Familiarity with Accurint for conducting comprehensive research and analysis.

• Working knowledge of ADP - Financial Services for managing payroll and human resources.

• Proficiency with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software for managing customer data and interactions.

• Experience in using Epic Software for managing and integrating different business operations.

• Ability to handle Accounts Receivable (AR) including invoicing, posting payments, and tracking expenses.

• Experience in Answering Inbound Calls in a professional manner to address customer queries and issues.

• Familiarity with Billing Functions such as creating invoices, sending bills, and recording payments.

• Experience in Claim Administration including processing claims, verifying insurance coverage, and liaising with insurance companies.

• Knowledge of Collection Processes for tracking and recovering outstanding payments from customers.
