Robert Half Finance Manager in Indianapolis, Indiana
Description
We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our client's team in the non-profit industry, based in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for reviewing financial statements, assisting with financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with grants administration procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Review and analyze financial statements of not-for-profit organizations
• Provide financial analysis assistance to program directors and vice presidents in the grant-making divisions
• Verify and monitor tax status of grantees and potential grantees
• Assist with grants administration procedures and general accounting responsibilities
• Serve as project manager for special finance division projects
• Ensure compliance with audit and contract requirements
• Leverage skills in Private Grants, Foundation Grants, Audit Compliance, Contract Compliance, and Financial compliance
• Review financial statements with a focus on accuracy and compliance
• Utilize proficiency in Microsoft Office products and accounting software programs
• Maintain a current CPA license and a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a finance role within a non-profit organization
• Proficient in handling Private Grants and Foundation Grants
• Extensive knowledge of Audit Compliance, Contract Compliance, and Financial Compliance
• Ability to review and analyze Financial Statements
• Current CPA License is required
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
