Description
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Part Time Human Resources (HR) Assistant in Indianapolis, Indiana. The selected candidate will be working in the HR department, focusing on recruiting and administration tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Assisting with recruitment processes such as sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
• Conducting background checks on potential employees as part of the pre-employment process.
• Assisting in managing benefit functions within the organization.
• Providing exceptional customer service to all internal and external stakeholders.
• Handling administrative tasks for the HR department, including maintaining and updating employee records.
• Responding to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Providing support to the HR team in various HR projects and initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to HR.
• Assisting in the organization and execution of company events and meetings.
Requirements • Applicant must have a strong understanding and experience with conducting background checks
• Demonstrated experience in managing benefit functions is required
• Proven customer service skills and experience are essential
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with HR systems and databases
• Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
• HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) would be advantageous.
