Description
The Robert Half Healthcare Practice is working with a Healthcare company in the Indianapolis area to find a new Patient Care Coordinator to join their team. The ideal candidate has great attendance, attention to detail and is friendly towards staff and patients.
Hours: Monday- Friday 8:30a-5p with a 30 min lunch
Responsibilities for the position include the following:
Welcome patients and visitors in a warm and courteous way.
Process patients' check-in and check-out procedures.
Confirm patients' insurance coverage and collect copays.
Schedule appointments for patients.
Gather patient charts and prepare medical records.
Answer phone calls and respond to patient questions.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and other staff members.
Protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum one year of experience in healthcare, medical front office experience highly preferred
Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred
Intermediate computer skills
