Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description Robert Half is looking to fill a Senior Accountant position on a permanent basis in the INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role

  • Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives

  • Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

  • Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

  • Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary Requirements

  • Experience with ERP systems

  • Vow to meet business deadlines

  • Proficiency in general ledger

  • Microsoft Excel experience desired

  • Foundational knowledge in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

  • Expertise in journal entries

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards

  • Prior work done in public accounting is desired

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

  • Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions

  • Detailed and have the ability work independently

  • Exceptional time management skills preferred

  • 3+ years of overall general accounting experience
