Robert Half Sr. Engineering Manager in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana

Description Essential Functions:

• Oversee and manage infrastructure engineering services teams by setting priorities and, as appropriate, making key technical contributions

• Manage or participate in technical activities, schedules, and costs associated with qualified projects

• Follow established business processes and knowledge to support critical business infrastructure by directing Systems Engineering resources to resolve Incidents, fulfill Request, and implement Changes

• Continuous improvement processes to support critical business infrastructure

Required Education, Knowledge, and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience

• 3 - 5 years experience in team building and people performance management

• 5 - 10 years of experience consulting or working in the enterprise infrastructure environments

• 5 - 10 years of experience with Cloud, Global Networks, and DC Infrastructure Operations

• Extensive experience performing discovery and writing scoping and levels of effort for delivering solutions that meet customer business, functional, and technical requirements

• Experience with ITSM platform(s) and ITIL processes

• Experience in managing large-scale transition projects

• Strong understanding of ITIL, specific to Change & Release management

Abilities and Skills:

• Able to adapt to a changing technical environment

• Ability to coach other members of the team in their area of expertise

• Ability to communicate clearly with all team members and end-users

• Ability to work with a sense of urgency

• Customer-facing presentation and consulting skills

• Face-to-face customer engagement skills

• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills

• Ability to explain technical procedures in business terms

• Ability to develop strategic customer relationships, gain trust, and respect for the team
