Robert Half Sr. Project Manager in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana


A client of ours in Indianapolis is currently seeking to hire a permanent Sr. Project Manager. The Sr. Project Manager will manage and deliver high priority IT projects through effective communication with business units, IT project teams, operations, and service providers. The Sr. Project Manager will work on 2-6 projects at a time, some of which will be enterprise level. The Sr. Project Manager will work Monday-Friday first shift and this role is preferred to come into office in Indianapolis on occasion but could be remote for the right person as well.

What you do as the Sr. Project Manager:

  • Deliver detailed reporting to management on milestone completion, risk assessment, and project status

  • Classify, manage, identify risk for functional improvement requests

  • Facilitate the daily stand-ups, ensuring they are timely, focused and brief

  • Cooperate and communicate with developers, technical team members, designers, and stakeholders

  • Work in partnership with the Product Owner/Product Manager to turn the product roadmap into executable projects

  • Determine and schedule projects per the Project Roadmap defined by the Business Owner

  • Master deployment scheduling in coordination with tech lead, Product Owner, and Dev Ops

  • Encourage the team focus on the on-time delivery of agreed products

  • Guarantee that the functional requirements are achievable, met, and tracked


What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or similar field

  • 5+ years of project management experience

  • Experience managing complex cross-functional and technology projects

  • Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies

  • Technical experience including JIRA or similar application, Confluence, Smartsheet, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, etc.)

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to utilize resource tools to manage capacity, forecast, demand and allocation of people

  • Great attention to detail
