Description

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Staff Accountant, your main responsibility will be to assist in the management of our company's financial records. This includes tasks such as creating journal entries, managing accounts payable, and assisting with month-end duties and other accounting responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and execute journal entries to support the company's overall financial reporting process

• Manage accounts payable including vendor management, invoice processing, and ensuring timely payments

• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions, producing error-free accounting reports and presenting their results

• Assist in the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely completion

• Support the preparation of detailed monthly profit and loss statements and other ad-hoc reporting as needed

• Collaborate with internal and external audits to ensure compliance

• Analyze financial data to assist with forecasting, budgeting, and cost accounting

• Advise on procedural improvements within the department

• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles

• Assist in other accounting, finance, or administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements • Possession of a minimum of 2 years of experience in the accounting field

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Skilled in maintaining and managing the General Ledger

• Capable of creating and managing Journal Entries

• Experience in performing Month End Close activities

• Proficient in the use of Oracle for accounting tasks

• Skilled in using QuickBooks for various accounting activities
