Description
Robert Half is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's Finance department. The successful candidate will work directly under the supervision of a Senior Accountant and play a crucial role in the company's financial operations ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks and responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform day to-day accounting operations
Prepare monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets
Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ensuring timeliness and accuracy of data
Analyze financial reports for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention
Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, SOX compliance and financial procedures
Assist in the preparation of budget and financial forecasts
Coordinate with tax auditors for the preparation and filing of all corporate tax returns
Prepare and complete internal cost audits
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
A minimum of [Number] years experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting processes
Excellent computer skills, and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with outstanding knowledge of Excel
Experience with accounting software, such as Quickbooks or SAP
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
