Description We are looking to hire a meticulous and organized Tax Staff for our team based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The primary role involves handling a variety of accounting functions, with a particular emphasis on tax preparation. The successful candidate will be utilizing their expertise with Microsoft Excel, Drake Tax Software, and other relevant skills in ensuring compliance with tax regulations and managing cash activity.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Drake Tax Software to prepare tax returns and other accounting documents.

• Ensure all accounting functions are performed accurately and within the stipulated deadlines.

• Monitor and track cash activity to maintain accurate financial records.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and company policies.

• Handle tax preparation duties, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all tax filings.

• Collaborate with other team members to improve and streamline accounting processes.

• Resolve any tax-related inquiries from customers in a timely and professional manner.

• Regularly review and update customer credit records.

• Take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments when necessary.

• Continually stay updated with any changes in tax regulations and ensure the company's compliance. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in public tax staff roles.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze data.

• Demonstrable knowledge of accounting functions to handle financial records.

• Ability to manage and track cash activity efficiently.

• Familiarity with compliance procedures and regulations in tax matters.

• Experience in tax preparation to assist in the accurate and timely filing of tax returns.

• Proficiency in using Drake Tax Software for tax preparation and management.
