Description Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking an Inventory Clerk. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible to manage orders to facilitate sales or production and keep track of goods and services. As the Inventory Clerk you will be signing off on shipments, counting the number of available products and placing orders for more inventory according to demand. If you are a detailed oriented inventory detail oriented with excellent math and communication skills, this is the Inventory Clerk position for you!
Major responsibilities
Working closely with the inventory analyst and purchasing manager
Data entry duties
Handling inventory by stocking and cataloging products
Securing shipment arrival times from vendors and suppliers after ordering inventory
Obtaining estimates and price details from different vendors to compare costs
Handling document discrepancies
Classifying and counting items
Identify and call out discrepancies between physical counts and computer records Requirements - Ability to use inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports, such as spreadsheets
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
Must have an understanding of the range of services and products offered by the company
Mathematical and analytical skills
1+ years' experience in retail and/or inventory sector is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
Problem solving skills and high attention to detail
