Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a litigation associate to join our client, a reputable firm. This is a fantastic experience for an attorney who desires the ability to gain trial experience and manage (mostly) independently a robust number of cases for deserving clients who have been catastrophically injured as a result of medical negligence and other personal injury matters.
Responsibilities:
Substantial communications with clients, witnesses, experts, medical providers, and co-counsel
Conduct legal and medical research on various issues
Review and analyze medical records
Draft pleadings and discovery requests
Frequent court appearances, including arguing motions
Requirements
Experience:
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
At least five years experience in litigating personal injury cases (plaintiff or defense) from inception to resolution
Proficiency in Westlaw
Strong writing skills
Ability to negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
Knowledge of legal administrative procedures and protocols
Ability to work independently, fast learner
Strong inter-personal skills
