Robert Half Cybersecurity Director in Irvine, California

Description

Cybersecurity Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with business goals.

  • Stay informed on the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to ensure proactive security measures.

CMMC v2 Compliance:

  • Lead efforts to achieve and maintain compliance with CMMC v2 requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and monitor necessary compliance controls.

NIST Framework:

  • Enforce NIST cybersecurity framework principles across the organization.

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies based on NIST guidelines.

Policy Development and Enforcement:

  • Create, implement, and manage cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.

  • Ensure all employees are trained on and adhere to established cybersecurity policies.

Incident Response and Investigation:

  • Develop and maintain an incident response plan, coordinating with relevant stakeholders.

  • Investigate security incidents, breaches, and vulnerabilities, providing recommendations for improvement.

Threat Intelligence and Monitoring:

  • Establish and maintain a threat intelligence program to proactively identify and address emerging threats.

  • Implement advanced monitoring tools to continuously oversee the network for suspicious activities.

Data Protection and Privacy:

  • Develop and enforce data protection policies to comply with regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.

  • Ensure robust encryption standards for data both at rest and in transit.

Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery:

  • Create and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans for quick recovery from cyber incidents.

  • Conduct regular drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of these plans.

Security Awareness and Training:

  • Promote a culture of security awareness through ongoing training and awareness initiatives.

  • Conduct periodic phishing simulations to enhance employee awareness and response to phishing attacks.

Regulatory Compliance and Audits:

  • Manage internal and external cybersecurity audits to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Stay updated on changes in cybersecurity regulations and adapt organizational practices accordingly.

Collaboration with Network Engineering:

  • Work closely with the Senior Network Engineer to align network security measures with overall cybersecurity strategy.

  • Provide guidance on integrating security best practices into network design and maintenance.

  • Collaborate on initiatives to enhance network security, such as implementing zero-trust architecture and advanced threat detection systems.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 8-10 years of proven leadership experience in cybersecurity and networking.

  • In-depth knowledge of CMMC v2, NIST, and other relevant compliance frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, architecture, and infrastructure.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI level security clearance.

  • Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, or CCNP.
