A well-respected boutique law firm dedicated to representing employees in all aspects of workplace law is seeking an employment litigation associate! This firm offers a collaborative and supportive environment where you will gain valuable experience working alongside seasoned attorneys on a wide range of plaintiff-side employment cases.

This litigation associate opportunity is on-site 5 days a week in Orange County. My team has worked with this firm for many years and have successfully placed 5 attorneys who are still there and happy!

This litigation associate will join a growing plaintiff-side employment law practice. In this role, you will play a vital role in all stages of litigation, gaining experience in legal research, writing, discovery, motion practice, and client communication. You will work closely with partners and senior associates on a variety of cases, including:

• Wrongful termination

• Discrimination (race, age, gender, disability, etc.)

• Retaliation

• Wage and hour violations

• Whistleblower claims

• Severance agreements

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive memoranda on various employment law issues.

• Draft and edit legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and responses.

• Assist with client intake, interviewing clients, and gathering case information.

• Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.

• Manage case files and deadlines using case management software.

• Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed of the progress of their cases.

• Work collaboratively with partners and senior associates to develop litigation strategy.

Requirements

Qualifications

• California bar license.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Prior experience in employment law (preferred, but not required).

• Commitment to zealous advocacy and achieving positive outcomes for clients.

• A passion for social justice and helping employees enforce their rights.

Must be local to Orange County, California.
