Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Irving, Texas

Description

We are looking for a meticulous and committed Accounting Clerk to join an established team in Irving, Texas. The primary role will be to handle both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions with precision and efficiency. This role will report to the Controller and will be instrumental in ensuring smooth financial operations within the team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, identifying and resolving billing, expenditure, and payment issues effectively.

• Apply cash receipts to customer accounts in a timely manner.

• Set up customer credit limits in accordance with the established credit policy.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date contacts for customers and vendors.

• Monitor the aging of Accounts Receivable and undertake collection efforts for delinquent accounts.

• Communicate with customers, vendors, and suppliers via phone and/or email to investigate and resolve discrepancies.

• Set up new vendors and enter invoices into NetSuite for processing.

• Match invoices to purchase orders and prepare checks or create ACH files for weekly payment runs.

• Research and resolve vendor payment issues.

• Handle monthly accruals and perform monthly reconciliation responsibilities for both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

• Provide necessary documentation for audits and prepare annual form 1099s.

• Leverage skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, and NetSuite to perform tasks efficiently.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and data entry

• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in billing and invoice processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with NetSuite software

• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
