Job Title: Accounting Supervisor
Travel: 25% +/- (potentially gone from Monday – Thursday once per month)
Job Description: The accounting supervisor is responsible for building, leading, and developing the accounting and finance team and will be expected to build upon solutions for the business and accounting processes for a new information technology entity.
Responsibilities: All accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, project accounting, tax, financial and compliance reporting, forecasting, assisting with annual budget, monthly balancing, intercompany transactions, and recording and timely reporting of accounting records/transactions, etc.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
3 years of accounting experience with an understanding of GAAP
CPA/CMA (needs a plan in place, if not already certified)
Experience in the information technology and/or manufacturing industry
Experience with large company allocations, chargebacks, and intercompany accounting
Leadership / supervisory experience (this will have 2-3 direct reports
1) 3+ years’ accounting experience (multi-state preferred)
2) Supervisory/Leadership experience – Will consider someone earlier in their career if they are already demonstrating leadership either inside or outside of the workplace.
3) Power BI, Financial Analysis, Forecasting
Years of exp: 3+
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
Certifications: CPA/ CMA (Needs to be complete, or have a plan in place)
Industry exp: Manufacturing/Technology industry or large industrial company preferred
Additional requirements, soft skills, etc.:
- This role will have near 25% travel (typically traveling Monday – Thursday once per month - Flexible)
