Robert Half Accounting Specialist in Irving, Texas

Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Irving, Texas. The selected candidate will be part of a team in the telecom industry, where they will be responsible for engaging in the monthly financial closing process, maintaining accounts, and preparing various tax returns.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in the monthly financial closing process, ensuring all costs incurred are accurately recorded

• Prepare journal entries and account balance reconciliations as needed

• Prepare monthly revenue analysis of revenue deferrals, bad debt, and revenue serve

• Check incoming and outgoing cash effectively on a daily basis and perform monthly bank reconciliation activity

• Prepare AP voucher and record expenses

• Make recommendations for changes as needed and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed

• Establish techniques to improve efficiency in operation and to discover and prevent fraud

• Engage in day-to-day revenue accounting function including month-end close

• Reconcile revenue-related accounts including AR/unbilled, revenue allocations, and credit memo reconciliations

• Engage in the compilation of information for preparation of various tax returns including Corporate tax, Sales tax, and Form-1099

• MS Dynamics 365 Business Central Requirements • Demonstrable experience as an Accounting Clerk for at least 2 years

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Previous experience in Billing and Data Entry

• Familiarity with Invoice Processing procedures

• Proficient in using MS Dynamics 365 Business Central

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is desirable

• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• High level of accuracy and efficiency

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
