Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Irving, Texas

Description Are you an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk seeking a new role? Then this employment opportunity offered through Robert Half may be for you. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Irving, Texas area and will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire position. In this dynamic department, there is an opportunity for career growth and quick advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk position will require to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

What you get to do every day

  • Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies

  • Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks

  • Accomplish full-cycle A/P

  • Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

  • Execute additional tasks as needed

  • Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis

  • Provide support during internal and external audits

  • Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

  • Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents Requirements - Invoice Entry experience highly preferred

  • Earlier work involving Invoice Processing

  • Process Vendor Invoices experience highly valued

  • Deep understanding of Code Invoices

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Enter Vendor Invoices

  • Previous experience working with Maintain Vendor Files

  • Background working with Invoice Payment

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel

  • Comprehension of Reconcile Vendor Statements

  • Weekly Account Payable experience preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel

  • Good understanding of Payable Invoices

  • Experience with Coding Invoices

  • Batch Processing experience

  • General familiarity with Invoice Coding

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience

  • Practical knowledge of Invoice Discrepancies

  • Adeptness in Enter Invoices

  • High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

  • Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

  • Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
