Description Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced, organized Senior Accountant to join their team for a permanent opportunity in the Irving, Texas area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions Requirements - Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Skilled at time management
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
Experience with ERP systems
Microsoft Excel experience
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
Ability to meet deadlines
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
