Robert Half Data Integration Engineer in Irving, Texas


The Data Integrations Engineer is responsible for providing design, development, deployment and support for our integrations between national applications, their data footprint as well as integrations between external vendors and related reporting. This position requires a blend of technical and business expertise to drive value for the company. This position will demonstrate a strong understanding of business process knowledge (preferably within the Real Estate / Construction / Multi-Family Home industry) such as accounting, finance, HR, construction, development, and property management. On the technical side, this position requires a person that will manage the technical integration aspects of our national applications including the accounting systems, property management systems, and construction systems, and could require assistance in working on projects with our HCM system. The Data Integrations Engineer will be responsible for driving the strategy employed to ensure data is highly available, complete, and consistent. Monitoring nightly integrations and running quality checks on transformed data will be a key responsibility of this role. Finally, data delivery through reporting, business intelligence, or other information delivery methods is a responsibility of this position when the need arises. Following and leading others to adhere to IT governance and processes are also one of this position’s responsibilities. This role will be responsible for documenting how integrations work and where data is sourced from. Essential Functions/Responsibilities · Deep understanding of business applications architecture, design, development, and integration · Analyze and troubleshoot application issues by scanning thru the application logs, utilizing SQL profiler and querying databases as needed. · Provide support on mission-critical integrations, which may require off-hours support as needed · Write custom scripts, interfaces, and reports (mostly SQL reporting) · Understand, debug and troubleshoot SQL Server databases, Python, C#, and JavaScript code. · Configure and automate the monitoring of automated jobs and applicable databases · Facilitate SDLC from multiple business areas and design, develop, test and release accurate technical solutions

Education and/or Experience · Bachelor's Degree with a preferred field of study in Information Systems or Computer Science · Development experience using SQL, SSRS, Power BI, SSIS, and Python. · Experience interacting with different database management systems. We primarily use SQL Server; Oracle products will be a part of our environment as well. · Experience in customizing and integrating applications, preferably Real Estate applications, but the comparable experience will be considered · Construction, Single Family, Multi-Family, and/or Commercial Property Management and/or Accounting background preferred. Skills/Specialized Knowledge · Problem solver who can add value even when working outside of the normal scope of duties · Ability to travel to other offices and properties · Willingness and ability to learn and research independently · Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment · Detail-oriented verbal and written interpersonal communication skills · Strong diagnostic troubleshooting and analytical skills · Maintain flexibility and creativity in a variety of situations · Strong organizational and time management skills, consistently sets goals and meets deadlines. · Technical capabilities (such as programming) and Functional capabilities (such as business process knowledge)
