Robert Half HR Specialist in Irving, Texas

Description We are looking for a HR Specialist to join our team located in Irving, Texas. This role involves managing employee relations, developing HR policies, and enhancing employee performance in the service industry. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle employee complaints, grievances, and workplace conflicts, ensuring a prompt and fair resolution.

• Conduct unbiased investigations into allegations of misconduct, harassment, discrimination, or other policy violations.

• Develop strategies to boost employee performance, engagement, and retention.

• Collaborate with HR management to devise suitable actions in response to employee relations issues.

• Stay updated on local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

• Assist in the formulation, implementation, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.

• Conduct regular reviews of HR policies and suggest updates or improvements as necessary.

• Carry out audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

• Provide and track training to employees and managers on HR policies, including anti-harassment and equal employment opportunity.

• Apply and recommend disciplinary actions, terminations, and separations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws following approval from HR Management. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a human resources role within the service industry

• Proficiency in onboarding new personnel and conducting orientations for new team members

• Demonstrated skills in mentoring newcomers and training new team members

• Proven ability to handle HR administration tasks efficiently

• Excellent skills in managing employee relations and ensuring customer satisfaction

• Experience in providing administrative assistance as required

• Proficient in benefits administration

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Capable of conducting orientations for new team members effectively
