Robert Half IT Auditor in Irving, Texas

Description

We are offering an opportunity for an IT Auditor to be a part of our client's amazing team. This role is based in Irving, Texas and provides a hybrid work environment. The IT Auditor will be involved in coordinating and performing IT, financial, operational, and internal controls audits. The successful candidate will be instrumental in contributing to our client company's growth in the wholesale distribution industry. Responsibilities:

• Perform operational, compliance, and financial audits across various functions within the company with limited oversight.

• Develop and execute an effective internal audit program to assess risk and test internal controls.

• Engage in annual Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing plan implementation, based on an assessment of Business/Financial risk.

• Contribute to business process improvements and internal controls by providing recommendations.

• Manage the expectations of internal audit management and business process owners during audits and projects.

• Exhibit thought leadership by asking insightful questions, providing solutions-oriented perspective, and communicating effectively.

• Conduct field audits, submit audit findings, and prepare recommendations to be presented to senior management and external auditors.

• Test and document internal controls.

• Audit records and interview workers to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Analyze data for evidence of deficiencies in controls, duplication of effort, extravagance, fraud, or lack of compliance with laws, government regulations, and management policies or procedures.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ICFR requirements and ensure compliance with these policies at field locations.

• Execute other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an IT Auditor or a related role in the IT industry

• Proficiency in Business Systems

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Experience in Application Controls and Audit Findings

• Proven knowledge and skills in Auditing

• Familiarity with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley and ICFR

• Experience working in a Big 4 Accounting Firm

• Excellent documentation skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred

• Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of IT governance and operations

• Familiarity with auditing standards and frameworks.
