Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Irving, Texas
Description We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Irving, Texas. The role involves managing a broad range of accounting functions, including account and bank reconciliations, collaboration with managers and CPAs, and process optimization within the department.
Responsibilities:
• Perform detailed reconciliations for multiple bank accounts on a regular basis
• Ensure accuracy in reconciling and reporting credit card transactions
• Utilize accounting software to process transactions and manage financial records effectively
• Collaborate closely with managers on invoice processing and approvals
• Work with CPAs to prepare and review financial statements and reports
• Handle accounting tasks related to property management and ensure accurate tracking and reporting of all related transactions
• Take the initiative to reduce workload by streamlining accounting processes
• Make suggestions for process improvements and efficiency enhancements
• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations
• Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting, including the use of lookups and pivot tables
• Handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail. Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation
• Experience in balance sheet reconciliation
• Knowledge of bank reconciliations
• Competency in general ledger operations
• Ability to prepare and analyze journal entries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in month end close procedures
• Familiarity with NetSuite software
• Experience with Oracle software
• Knowledge of SAP software
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Professional certification such as CPA is preferred.
