Description There's currently a long-term contract / temporary opportunity at Robert Half for an experienced Senior Accountant with an eye for accuracy and a knack for solving complex problems. Working as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Continually improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Other projects as necessary

  • Be a part of various department-wide initiatives

  • Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Ready monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

  • Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

  • Organize quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors Requirements - A level of proficiency in financial reporting is preferential to this role

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

  • Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner

  • Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Proven ability to work and communication well with manager-level associates

  • Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired

  • Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

  • Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

  • Efficient in ERP systems

  • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

  • General familiarity with Ledger Entries

  • Financial analysis experience highly valued

  • Comprehension of financial reporting

  • Practical knowledge of Ledger Journal Entries

  • Strong familiarity with Bank Account Reconciliation

  • Account reconciliation experience desired

  • Hands-on experience with financial statement preparation

  • Experience with Financial Statement

  • Good understanding of fixed assets

  • Microsoft Excel experience desired

  • Previous experience working with cost accounting

  • Prior experience with Excel Formulas

  • Knowledge of Balance Sheet Reconciliation

  • Adeptness in Balance Sheet Account

  • Background working with Ledger Account Reconciliation

  • Microsoft Excel experience preferred

  • Balance sheets experience highly desired

  • General ledger experience highly preferred

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Ledger Close

  • Earlier work involving Ledger Account Analysis

  • Foundational knowledge in bank reconciliations
