Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Tax Accountant with state tax preparation experience for a contract employment opportunity in the aerospace industry, located in Irving, Texas. You will be responsible for managing tax-related tasks, including auditing, compliance, and multi-state tax returns, using tools such as OneSource and Microsoft Excel. This is a 2-3 month contract position. Hybrid work schedule.
Interim Sr. Tax Accountant (contract position):
Responsibilities:
• Manage and prepare state tax returns, handling complexities associated with combined super returns across multiple states.
• Utilize OneSource Income Tax software for tax preparation tasks, leveraging your strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations across all 50 states.
• Apply your knowledge of Corporate Income Tax in the aerospace industry context to optimize tax strategies.
• Manage multi-state income and multi-state tax returns, ensuring accurate and timely filing.
• Resolve any tax-related issues or inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with both public and industry stakeholders to streamline tax processes and maintain updated records.
Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tax Accountant in the Aerospace industry
• Proficiency in auditing and compliance
• Familiarity with OneSource software
• Knowledge of Corporate Income Tax regulations and procedures
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Multi-state Income tax calculations
• Proven ability in preparing and filing Multi-state Tax Returns
• Ability to handle various Multi-state Tax-related tasks effectively
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• CPA or other relevant certification is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
