Robert Half Systems Administrator in Irving, Texas
Description We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team in Irving, Texas. In this role, you will be part of our high tech engineering sector, responsible for supporting our industry-leading SaaS cloud and maintaining current customer environments.
Responsibilities
• Act as a Lead to the Engineers and Administrators within the Environment
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux systems
• Install, configure, and tune Java Application servers including Tomcat, JBoss
• Troubleshoot Java applications and IoT devices on Linux, UNIX, and Windows
• Troubleshoot system hardware, providing failure analysis and recovery
• Handle network issues related to WAN and LAN protocols and other network accessible services such as SFTP, DNS, SSH, VPN, Mail, Apache
• Promote a secure environment with experience in Firewall and other security technologies
• Installation of database servers (MSSQL Server, Oracle, MYSQL, etc.)
• Develop and research new automation and technology opportunities
• Operate in a production data center environment with minimal supervision
• Provide Tier III Production environment support
• Drive documentation of architecture and testing of infrastructure
• Interface directly and indirectly with client staff and 3rd party vendors both technical and non-technical
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity processes, exercises and documentation Requirements • Proficiency in Cisco Technologies is required
• Demonstrated experience with Citrix Technologies
• Familiarity with Cloud Technologies
• Knowledge of Dell Technologies is essential
• Ability to implement and manage Firewall Technologies
• Experience with AB Testing
• Proficient in Active Directory
• Understanding of Backup Technologies
• Skills in Cluster Analysis
• Knowledge of Computer Hardware
