Robert Half Technical Revenue Accountant (contract) in Irving, Texas
Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual for the role of Revenue Accountant/Manager in the Healthcare/NHS industry, based in Irving, Texas. This role will primarily focus on technical revenue accounting, reviewing complex contracts, and handling multiple element arrangements. This is a 6-month contract position. Work can be done 100% REMOTE.
Technical Revenue Accountant (contract position):
Responsibilities:
• Review and analyze complex contracts within the healthcare industry
• Handle multiple element arrangements in contracts, ensuring all elements are properly accounted for
• Apply technical accounting knowledge, particularly ASC 606, in handling complex leasing standards
• Maintain a high level of proficiency in using Workday and Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks
• Communicate effectively across the enterprise, explaining accounting concepts to individuals outside the accounting department in a manner that is clear and not overly technical
• Handle a high volume of open items and complex workflows efficiently
• Have a strong focus on company revenue recognition and ensure all revenues are recognized properly
• Manage service contracts and ensure they are in line with industry standards
• Exhibit a strong understanding of technical revenue accounting and complex accounting standards.
Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required
• Proven experience as a Revenue Accountant or in a similar role within the healthcare industry
• Solid understanding of revenue recognition principles as per ASC 606 guidelines
• Proficiency in managing complex workflows and multiple element arrangements
• Demonstrable experience with service contracts and other types of contracts within the healthcare industry
• Advanced knowledge of technical and revenue accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Workday financial software
• Strong ability to ensure company revenue is recognized properly
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Professional certification such as CPA is a plus.
