Description

Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking an Accountant. The Accountant will work with financial and income tax statements, making sure that they comply with tax laws by filing their federal and state tax returns. Are you a deadline driven Accountant with excellent organization and attention to detail? Then this may be the role for you!

Your responsibilities in this role

Prepare year-end tax returns for Individuals, Corporations & Partnerships.

Analyze client prepared data and make necessary adjustments required for financial statement and tax return preparation.

Prepare year end documents and financial statements for business clients.

Perform tax research on various issues as they arise.

Respond to correspondence with the IRS and various state and local taxing agencies.

Maintain excellent communication with clients to ensure expectations and deadlines are being met.

Preparation of quarterly payroll tax returns and year-end W-2's and 1099's.

Processing client information, checks, payroll and deposits into QuickBooks and reconciling accounts

Requirements

CPA, CPA candidate, or IRS Enrolled Agent (EA)

3+ years’ professional accounting experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax law

Strong decision making skills, ability to work independently, and ability to meet time constraints and deadlines

Experience with LaCerte Tax Software and Quickbooks

Experience with TaxDome a plus
