Description

We are in search of a Database Administrator to join our team, located in Jacksonville, Florida. This role involves ensuring the satisfaction of our business development and product teams by analyzing business and technical requirements, developing database automation techniques, and integrating with different workflow engines. The role is a contract to hire employment opportunity. This role works onsite in Jacksonville, FL

Install, maintain, and secure database servers, keeping them running smoothly and meeting the highest security standards.

Craft robust security protocols and manage user access to safeguard sensitive data.

Fine-tune database systems and manage applications for optimal performance.

Troubleshoot database errors swiftly, resolving user-reported issues promptly.

Champion the adoption of cutting-edge database technologies to streamline operations.

Generate insightful reports, data visualizations, and dashboards to empower data-driven decision making.

Automate repetitive tasks for enhanced efficiency.

Vigilantly monitor system performance, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.

Ensure comprehensive data protection against threats and unauthorized access, with robust backup and recovery procedures in place.

Collaborate closely with IT project managers and database programmers to guarantee seamless operation.

Design databases with user-friendliness in mind, catering to both front-end and back-end users.

Requirements

• Proficiency in database management and administration

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server

• Experience in managing database backup procedures

• Ability to optimize database performance and perform tuning activities

• Familiarity with Relational database system such as SQL Server, MySQL, etc

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues effectively

• Strong understanding of data privacy and protection regulations
