Located in the Jacksonville, Florida area, this position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. Preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and being responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be essential for this role. Participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes are also expected tasks. Do you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets? You'll be preferred for this role.
Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management
In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation Requirements - Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Skilled with ERP systems
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Proficiency in SAP
Comprehensive knowledge of journal entries
Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel
Expertise in general ledger
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills
