Description

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying robust and scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot. You will collaborate with other engineers and product managers to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and translate them into high-quality code. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and translate them into high-quality code.

• Partner with QA teams to develop test scripts and troubleshoot any issues identified during testing.

• Analyze and remediate problems identified in production to ensure application stability and performance.

• Monitor the health and performance of live applications and implement optimizations to address any concerns.

• Participate in code reviews and maintain a high standard for code quality and maintainability.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.

• Develop applications using AWS, API Development, Java, Spring Boot, ActiveMQ.

• Work with databases and message queuing systems like RabbitMQ.

• Use a version control system like Git or Github.

Requirements

• Experience with Database management and operations

• Familiarity with API Development

• Proficient in Java programming language (5+ years)

• Knowledge and experience with Spring Boot

• Experience with ActiveMQ message-broker software

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work towards long-term goals

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
